Curriculum
We are working hard to develop a more child centered, innovative, creative and stimulating curriculum, many aspects of which are taught through a themed base approach, including regular themed days and themed weeks.
Literacy, Numeracy, RE and ICT continue to be explicitly taught, in addition to being also fully integrated into our more language enriched thematic curriculum. School has adopted the Norfolk Syllabus for RE. Although all the major religious faiths are investigated, Religious Education is predominantly Christian.
Children in Key Stage 1 are explicitly taught Phonics using the Sounds Write programme, which has had a very positive impact on children's understanding and therefore progress.
Children in Key Stage 2 are taught French.
More detailed curriculum information is available in the school's Prospectus, which is published on this website, and copies of which can be obtained from the school office.
